GOOD NEWS: Giants Add Another Experience Coach And Protect

The New York Giants have appointed Frank Piraino to the position of director of strength and conditioning, however this has not been formally publicized. Aaron Wellman, the Executive Director of Player Performance, who was hired last month, will supervise him. Craig Fitzgerald, who departed for the University of Florida, was succeeded by Wellman.

Both Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach Drew Wilson and Director of Performance/Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach Sam Coad are still listed with the team as of right now. Wilson and Coad were employed under the Joe Judge administration.

The 44-year-old Piraino has worked with the Tennessee Titans for the past five seasons. From 2019 to 2021, he was a strength and conditioning coach. Cowboys are prevented from hiring Andre Patterson by Giants.
The Giants reportedly prevented the Dallas Cowboys from interviewing or hiring defensive line coach Andre Patterson, according to numerous media outlets. In 2022, the 63-year-old Patterson started working for the Giants. He previously worked in Minnesota from 2014 to 2021 as head coach under Mike Zimmer, the new defensive coordinator for Dallas. In addition to coaching the defensive line in Minnesota, Patterson spent two seasons as the co-defensive coordinator and one as the assistant head coach.
