TRENDING NEWS: Texans optimistic WR expected to return for OTAs

An offensive boost has already been given to the Houston Texans before to the start of the upcoming season.

Nathaniel “Tank” Dell and CJ Stroud a match made in video gameland.

According to Houston’s Aaron Wilson of KPRC-TV, wide receiver Tank Dell plans to make an OTAs comeback in May. In Week 13, against the Denver Broncos, the third-round selection out of Houston showed potential before suffering a season-ending fibula fracture. He caught 47 passes for 709 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games.

This is encouraging for the Texans offense, which is rising to the top of the league rapidly. 2023 Offensive Rookie of the Year went to quarterback C.J. Stroud, while in 15 games, wide receiver Nico Collins recorded career highs in receptions (80), receiving yards (1,297), and receiving touchdowns (eight).

Houston has the sixth-most cap room in the NFL, according to Spotrac, at $65.41 million. This means they can spend in free agency and re-sign important players like tight end Dalton Schultz.

The ground assault was the primary offensive weakness for the Texans. In terms of rushing yards (92.4), they were ranked 28th in the league. The run game might be strengthened by bringing in a free agent running back like Saquon Barkley or Derrick Henry.

In any case, Houston wins with Dell’s comeback, and the team is moving in the right direction. The Texans made history this past season by winning a playoff game and winning the AFC South for the first time since 2019.

Vegas believes the team is starting to stand a chance. They are ranked 11th in terms of Super Bowl LIX odds by DraftKings (+2200). If the young players for the Texans continue to develop as they have, they could be about to do something special.
