BREAKING NEWS: Duke Record Breaker Star Signs For The Hornets

Hornets Sign Another Duke Basketball Product.

Charlotte Hornets signing center Marques Bolden to a 10 day contract - At The Hive

Marques Bolden, a three-year Duke basketball player, signed a two-way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks to start the season. Despite playing in just two games and failing to score a point, it was a positive start to his professional career because he hadn’t participated in an NBA season since his short-lived 2020–21 campaign with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

However, Bolden was waived by the Bucks in early January.

However, the 25-year-old product of Texas, who went undrafted in 2019 despite regularly starting for the thrilling 2018–19 Blue Devils with Zion Williamson & Co., has now committed to a 10-day contract with the Charlotte Hornets. Tuesday morning, Shams Charania of The Athletic announced the signing.

Marques Bolden joins second-year center Mark Williams, who is sidelined indefinitely due to a back injury, and veteran guard Seth Curry, who was acquired by the Charlotte Hornets from the Dallas Mavericks earlier this month, as the third Duke basketball player signed a contract with the Hornets (13–41).

Nevertheless, Bolden’s tenure on the roster is likely to end within the next seven days, and there’s no guarantee he will play in any of the following games.

Bolden has played the most of his career in the G League, where he has averaging 17.0 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks during the Wisconsin Herd’s current six-game winning run, as highlighted by Charania.
