Many former Los Angeles Rams coaches and players have moved on to coach other teams, and many have returned to the same franchise. Matt LaFleur was the Rams’ offensive coordinator in 2017 before becoming Green Bay Packers’ head coach in 2019. In the first week of February, the Packers hired Sean Mannion, a former Rams backup quarterback, to serve as an offensive assistant to help with passing.

Mannion began his career as the Rams’ backup quarterback from 2015 to 2018, and he remained in the NFL until last year. He never spent much time on the field, but coaching could be his actual passion. If Mannion becomes head coach at some time in the future, he will be yet another former Sean McVay assistant to achieve success in the coaching ranks.
