LATEST NEWS: Duke Basketball 5-Star Center Product Have Completed His Move To The Hornets

Charlotte currently has three former Duke basketball players under contract.

Duke's Marques Bolden still looks a step slow -

Marques Bolden, a three-year Duke basketball center, began the season on a two-way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks. Although he only appeared in two games and did not score a point, it was a positive indicator for his professional career given that he had not played in the NBA since his brief 2020-21 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

But the Bucks waived Bolden in early January.

The 25-year-old Texas native, who went undrafted in 2019 after routinely starting alongside Zion Williamson and the rest of the exciting 2018-19 Blue Devils, has now agreed to a 10-day contract with the Charlotte Hornets. Shams Charania of The Athletic first reported the agreement on Tuesday morning.

Marques Bolden joins second-year center Mark Williams, who is out indefinitely with a back injury, and veteran guard Seth Curry, who was traded from the Dallas Mavericks to the Hornets earlier this month.

However, there is no assurance that Bolden will play in any upcoming games, and his stay on the roster is unlikely to last more than a week and a half.

As Charania reported, Bolden has spent the majority of his career in the G League, where he has averaged 17.0 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks during the Wisconsin Herd’s current six-game winning streak.
