Breaking News: Dolphins Have completed the signing of An absolute star From Ravens

The Miami Dolphins were among the teams that looked to the Baltimore Ravens to fill a high-profile coaching vacancy this summer, and coach John Harbaugh believes Miami got a solid one in Anthony Weaver. Weaver was hired as defensive coordinator to replace Vic Fangio, and he is one of three Baltimore defensive assistants from 2023 to be named as head coach or defensive coordinator this season. The other two were former Baltimore defensive coordinator Mike McDonald becoming head coach in Seattle and Denard Wilson becoming DC for the Tennessee Titans.

Last season, Weaver served as Harbaugh’s assistant head coach and defensive line coach. Harbaugh gushed about him when he spoke about the scouting combine on Tuesday.

“Anthony is just an absolute star,” Harbaugh explained. “You see him? He lights up a room. He is also a space hog. Fills and lights up a room, correct? And then the way you react, treat people, how he responds to challenges, how he coaches the guys, how he presents, and his overall understanding of defense is really strong. I mean, not only at a high level, but also in terms of leadership, player management, coaching, and working with people. I just think he’s a wonderful leader who will excel at anything he does.
