Giants Named Potential Destination For Bills' Stefon Diggs | Yardbarker

Diggs, who sparked controversy last summer with a series of social media statements implying dissatisfaction, garnered additional attention this week with another mysterious remark about his future. Last week, the Bills receiver posted on X that he was “ready for whatever,” which sparked speculation that he would be leaving Buffalo.

However, ESPN’s Dan Graziano stated that this is not the case, and that insiders strongly believe Diggs will return to the team in 2024.

‘He Does This a Lot’

On March 18, Graziano spoke on SportsCenter and stated that NFL experts feel Diggs’ statement was not serious and that he will not leave the Bills.

“Calling around about this to people close to the situation, most of what I got back was, ‘This is Stefon Diggs, he does this a lot and ultimately they’ve been able to patch it up every time with Buffalo,'” Graziano said in an interview with Bleacher Report. “As of now my expectation is that he’s on this year’s Bills.”

According to Bleacher Report, Diggs is under contract with the Bills through 2027 and will make $18.5 million next season. The franchise, which entered the offseason with a tight salary cap situation, would incur a considerable amount of dead cap if it traded or released Diggs.

Diggs has contributed to some of the confusion around his status with the organization, telling reporters at the end of last season that his future with the Bills was out of his control.

“I don’t know,” Diggs responded when asked if he’ll be with the Bills next season. “I feel like I have no control over the money or anything like that. There’s a long offseason ahead of me. As for the future, I have no surprises for you right now.”

At the same time, Diggs has done his part to dispel any rumors that he is unhappy in Buffalo. Diggs told reporter Kay Adams on “Up & Adams” on February 8 that he wants to end his career with the Bills.

“Yeah, I mean I told (the media) interview after interview I wanted to retire a Bill,” Diggs was quoted as saying.

Trade Rumors Persist Around Stefon Diggs

Despite Diggs’ assurance that he is content in Buffalo and the salary limit situation that makes a move nearly impossible, analysts have suggested that he could be a trade candidate. Pro Football Network’s Nick Faria suggested that the Bills move Diggs to the Washington Commanders, while Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay proposed that he be traded to the Indianapolis Colts.

The Dallas Cowboys have also been mentioned as a potential trade partner for Diggs, as it would reunite him with his younger brother, Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs. But’s Mike Fisher spoke with a source close to the organization, who said reports of a Diggs trade are “more bull*** than ever!”
