Breaking News: Just IN Buffalo Bills Confirm To Reach Agreement OF Signing Another Sensational Star From NFL

Somehow, the Buffalo Bills managed to hide their interest in Casey Toohill until after he agreed to a deal with the team. The pass-rusher’s deal was officially signed by the Bills on Tuesday.

After playing with the Washington Commanders for four years, Toohill, 27, has signed with Buffalo. What you should know about the new pass-rusher for the Bills is as follows.

Following a career-defining year

With his best season as a professional behind him, Casey Toohill became a free agent this year.

With Washington last season, Toohill played a career-high 495 defensive snaps (45%). Toohill recorded five sacks and seven quarterback hits in his time on the field. Toohill broke his career high in quarterback sacks in 2023, which was remarkable given that he had only two sacks prior to that year.

Toohill is a rotational component that is also strong against the run.

saw a spike in snaps following the trade of Chase Young

Towards the end of the season, Toohill saw the field quite a bit. Following the November 1st trade of Chase Young by the Commanders, Toohill saw at least 66 percent of the snaps in the following seven weeks. Four of the edge rusher’s sacks came from limited reps before to the Young trade, but he saw significant playing time in the latter part of the season.

Philadelphia Eagles were the first team to draft him.

The Philadelphia Eagles selected Toohill with pick 233 in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Although Toohill was added to the Eagles roster as a rookie, the organization dismissed him in October of that year.

The following day, the Commanders would proceed to assert Toohill’s waivers. Up until today, when he joined the Bills, he stayed in Washington.

extraordinary athleticism

Toohill’s athleticism tested off the charts before he entered the draft. At the combine, he had the highest athleticism grade among pass-rushers and a high Relative Athletic Score among EDGE rushers.

Buffalo places a high emphasis on athleticism, which should help Toohill maintain his spot in the defensive end rotation for the Bills.
