Breaking News: Just IN Kansas City Chiefs Confirm Reach Contract Agreement For Top Experienced Star

L’Jarius Sneed, a cornerback, was allegedly very close to being traded by the Kansas City Chiefs last week, but the deal fell through for unspecified reasons.

According to Nate Taylor of The Athletic, the Tennessee Titans were in trade negotiations with the Eagles over Sneed and had the basic elements of a deal in place. But when Sneed and the Titans couldn’t agree on a long-term contract, the intended agreement fell through.

The negotiations to trade Sneed have come to a complete standstill following the collapse of the Titans agreement. Sneed was placed on the Chiefs’ franchise tag, but he is requesting a multi-year contract that would place him among the highest-paid cornerbacks in the league. That would place the target yearly average value for Sneed at about $20 million.

Sneed had a lot of trade interest at first, but several teams that looked at him later made alternative decisions. That will restrict Sneed’s future marketability and may make it more difficult for the Chiefs to move him, if only for a respectable return.

Sneed is the Chiefs’ best cornerback, but the team may have to part ways with him due to cap concerns. However, if the contract he desires is not available, the negotiation process may become uncomfortable and drag on for several weeks or months.
