GOOD NEWS: Just In Minnesota Vikings Head Coach Kevin O’Connell Just Confirm To Reach Contract Agreement For Another Top Sensational Star Player

Kevin O’Connell offers an upbeat assessment on the Justin Jefferson extension talks with the Vikings.
Justin Jefferson’s impending contract extension was recently discussed by Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell.

The Minnesota Vikings have been very busy this offseason, but they haven’t yet taken the biggest, most crucial step that would be to extend Justin Jefferson’s contract.

The three-time Pro Bowler’s contract negotiations were put on hold for the NFL Draft, but they should now pick back up again as the Vikings try to secure his services going forward. Although the exact timing is unknown, it appears far more likely to occur eventually than never.
Kevin O’Connell, the head coach of the Vikings, is aware of the value his star wide receiver brings to the team. On the Up & Adams show, O’Connell joked that he had already checked in several times by that afternoon when asked if he regularly inquires with the Vikings front office regarding the status of Jefferson’s extension. However, he also provided a positive assessment on Jefferson’s chances of obtaining his new arrangement.
“I am confident that everything will be resolved there,” stated the head coach of the Vikings. “Justin is aware of my affection and respect for him. He is aware of how important he is to everything we do here. That belongs on the field and that belongs off it. Every day, he infuses our building with an incredible energy and is a fierce competitor when it comes to stepping in between the white lines. Few people possess his abilities, but what sets him apart is the way he conducts himself, works, and motivates his teammates to improve. A significant component of this organization is Justin Jefferson.
If that were the case, O’Connell would not permit any indication that things were not going well. Nevertheless, his genuine support for Jefferson shows how valuable he is to the group. This emphasizes how important it is to extend the contract.

Jefferson Justin

According to reports, Minnesota has expressed no interest in trading Jefferson. Even though it’s the obvious choice, it’s the right one. He will most likely demand more than $30 million annually, which is more than elite wide receivers like A.J. Brown and Amon-Ra St. Brown recently received in their contract extensions.

In order to become the quarterback for the Vikings, J.J. McCarthy will undoubtedly require Jefferson’s assistance. Sam Darnold will also require Jefferson if he starts the season as the quarterback. Whether Jefferson is worth the money and whether Minnesota wants to keep him is beyond dispute.

Together with tight end T.J. Hockenson, second-year wideout Jordan Addison, and quarterback Jefferson, the Vikings have one of the best receiving trios in the league. Addison and Hockenson were two of just 22 players last season with 70 catches, five receiving touchdowns, and 900 receiving yards—Jefferson missing almost half of the season due to injury. Along with Puka Nacua and Rashee Rice, Addison was the youngest player on the team and one of only three rookies overall.

Jefferson is so good that in just 10 games, he was two catches away from becoming a member of that club. Even so, he came in 19th place on the leaderboard for receiving yards. For the entire season, all three of them together would provide an excellent offensive base. Naturally, Jefferson is the most significant component of the whole.
