Breaking: Notre Dame makes strong impact on Florida State commit during latest visit

Notre Dame Impresses Florida State Commit Efrem White During Recent Visit

Marcus Freeman and his Notre Dame staff are making waves on the recruiting trail.

As June kicks off, the college football recruiting scene is heating up alongside the summer temperatures. With official visits underway, coaching staffs are doing all they can to lock in future talent—whether that means securing current commitments, landing new ones, or even flipping recruits from rival programs.

One major target for Notre Dame is four-star wide receiver Efrem White, a Florida State commit from Vero Beach, Florida. White originally pledged to the Seminoles back in December 2023, but his recent interactions with Notre Dame have now raised the possibility of a flip.

White visited South Bend this past week for a multi-day stay. During his time on campus, he worked closely with Notre Dame’s coaching staff and reportedly came away impressed. The Fighting Irish extended an offer to White about two weeks ago, and the visit helped solidify a strong connection between the staff and the talented receiver.

Although he’s been committed to Florida State for several months, White is now considered a serious flip candidate—especially with the momentum Notre Dame has built.

Head coach Marcus Freeman is building one of the top recruiting classes in the nation for 2026. The Fighting Irish currently hold commitments from 16 prospects, including one five-star, nine four-stars, and six three-star recruits, giving them the No. 2 overall class in the country per 247Sports rankings.

Adding White would further boost an already elite group, and Notre Dame appears to be in strong position to make that happen. With the summer just beginning, Freeman and his staff still have plenty of opportunities to land more top-tier talent and make even more noise in the 2026 cycle.
