The North Carolina Tar Heels have officially added another piece to their incoming recruiting class, as highly regarded four-star forward Kevin Thomas has signed with the program. Thomas, a 6-foot-7 wing originally from Pennsylvania, spent his high school career at Sagemont Prep in Weston, Florida, where he developed into a reliable two-way contributor. During his senior season, he posted solid all-around numbers, averaging 15.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. His ability to contribute in multiple statistical categories highlighted his versatility as a modern wing player.
Beyond individual production, Thomas also experienced significant team success. Over the course of his high school career, he played a key role in helping Sagemont Prep secure three Class 1A state championships, reinforcing his experience in winning environments and high-pressure games.
Highly Competitive Recruiting Battle
As a four-star prospect, Thomas drew widespread attention from programs across the country before ultimately committing to North Carolina. His recruitment featured an extensive list of high-major suitors, including Florida State, LSU, Miami, Auburn, California, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Washington, Florida Atlantic, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Dayton, DePaul, Seton Hall, and others.

Thomas joins fellow recruits Maximo Adams and Malloy Smith in what is shaping up to be an important recruiting class for North Carolina.
