Braves reveal apparel collaboration with Atlanta icon Usher

The Braves will celebrate Atlanta music icon Usher with his own bobblehead Wednesday night, but that won’t be the only way Braves fans can celebrate the rapper.

The rapper collaborated with the Braves on a clothing line that is available now at the Braves Clubhouse Store in the Battery.  The collection is inspired by Usher’s “Peace Up, A-Town” gesture, the Braves said, which has become part of the team’s on-field celebrations. It includes t-shirts, hoodies and caps with upside down Braves logos.

In addition to the collection’s debut, the first 15,000 fans through the gates of the game against the New York Mets will receive a bobblehead designed by Usher featuring the “Peace Up, A-Town” gesture, the Braves said.

There will also be a food truck outside the first base gate with dishes inspired by Usher’s most iconic songs, including fried fish and grits, lemon pepper wet chicken wings and shrimp and grits.

Usher is scheduled throw out the first pitch on Wednesday.
