Official WNBA News: Just In Indiana Fever Officially Waived Two Superstar After Signing 4-Time All-Star Former WNBA Winner

Fever Release Rookie Forward Yvonne Ejim

The Indiana Fever announced on Wednesday that they have released rookie forward Yvonne Ejim.

Ejim was selected with the 33rd overall pick in the third round of the 2025 WNBA Draft. During her college career at Gonzaga, which spanned five seasons, she posted impressive averages of 20.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game in her final season. She led the West Coast Conference in both scoring and rebounding.

In preseason action, Ejim logged 12 minutes in the exhibition game against Brazil’s national team, where she recorded six points. She also saw five minutes of playing time in the preseason matchup against the Washington Mystics.

Her release marks the third roster cut by the Fever this week. Earlier, the team waived Jillian Alleyne and Bree Hall on Monday.

Alleyne, who last appeared in the WNBA in 2021 with the Mystics, was part of the initial training camp roster. Hall, a second-round draft pick this year (No. 20 overall), played four seasons at South Carolina, capturing two national championships with the Gamecocks.

With these moves, Indiana’s roster now stands at 12 players, which is the league maximum. WNBA rosters must include at least 11 and no more than 12 players.

The Fever will wrap up their preseason schedule on Saturday with an away game against the Atlanta Dream. The regular season opener is set for Saturday, May 17, when they host the Chicago Sky.
