“Breaking: Indiana Fever Land Major Talent as Head Coach Stephanie White Announces the Signing of 5-Time WNBA All-Star Veteran Superstar”

Chloe Bibby Opens Up About Joining Indiana Fever on Short-Term Deal

Indiana Fever’s latest roster addition, forward Chloe Bibby, recently shared her thoughts after signing a seven-day contract with the team, marking a return to the WNBA. The 27-year-old Australian forward previously had a brief run earlier in the season with the Golden State Valkyries.

Bibby officially signed with the Fever on Friday and spoke to the media Saturday, expressing gratitude and excitement for her second WNBA opportunity.

“I’m really excited to be back,” Bibby said. “My time with Golden State was great, then I played with the Australian national team and won gold. So just having the chance to return to the W and give it another shot is something I’m really thankful for.”

During her time with the Valkyries, Bibby appeared in five games, averaging 6.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per contest. She also showed her shooting range, making over 42% of her three-point attempts while playing 13.2 minutes per game. She was waived on June 30.

More recently, Bibby helped Australia capture gold at the 2025 FIBA Women’s Asia Cup, where she contributed 8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and nearly 2 assists per game. Her career also includes successful stints overseas, where she earned MVP honors in Poland and played in Spain.

Now with the Fever, Bibby is adjusting quickly and praised the organization for making the transition a smooth one.

“Everyone’s been great—super welcoming and helpful,” she said. “I’m just taking it step by step, but so far it’s been a good fit.”

Bibby also reflected on her earlier matchups against the Fever this season, noting how much she admired their intensity and style of play.

“They’re a physical, fast-paced team that shoots the three,” she said. “That’s exactly my game, so I think it’s a great match for me.”

The Fever, currently 13-12, are without star rookie Caitlin Clark, who remains sidelined with a groin injury. Still, Indiana is riding a three-game winning streak, most recently defeating the Las Vegas Aces 87-70.

Bibby and the Fever aim to extend that momentum when they take on the Chicago Sky (7-17) at the United Center on Sunday. Tipoff is set for 3:00 p.m. ET and the game will be nationally televised on ABC.
