Marcus Harris, the former defensive lineman for Auburn, acknowledged that he was “anxious” as the third day of the 2024 NFL Draft got began on Saturday.

“I’m eager to join a team and contribute to an organization that can win championships,” Harris stated in an interview with AL.com on Saturday morning.

The all-SEC defensive tackle Harris didn’t hear his name called until just before 6 p.m., when the Houston Texans selected him with the 247th choice of the 2024 NFL Draft. As a result, Harris had hours of anxiety.

Luckily, Harris had a solid network of family and friends on his side, and they all came together in Montgomery, his hometown, to celebrate the last day of the NFL Draft.

Harris remarked, “Just having these people here to celebrate this moment feels good.” “It’s unclear how I will respond at this point, so we will have to wait and see.”
