In an effort to locate individuals who may make a significant contribution to the team in the upcoming season, general manager Brandon Beane constantly modifies his roster. The Bills announced on Friday that they had signed three veterans to fill needing positions.
The first segment of the Buffalo Rumblinks today looks at the additions of linebacker Deion Jones, defensive end Dawuane Smoot, and wide receiver Chase Claypool.

With the one-year signings of LB Deion Jones, DE Dawuane Smoot, and WR Chase Claypool, the Buffalo Bills strengthened their defensive line on Friday.
Big-bodied “X” receiver Claypool, 25, was previously selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft (at pick No. 49 overall). After a fantastic rookie campaign in which he caught 62 passes for 873 yards and nine touchdowns, Claypool has been unreliable ever since. He has been traded between the Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears, and Pittsburgh Steelers.
AD Sloot, 29, was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft (at selection No. 68 overall). In 99 career games, he has racked up 23.5 sacks, 64 quarterback hits, and 27 tackles for loss.
In 109 career games (91 starts), Jones, 29, was selected by the Atlanta Falcons with the second-round choice (No. 52 overall) in the 206 NFL Draft. In 109 games, he has made 731 tackles (475 solo), 50 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, 24 quarterback hits, and 13 interceptions.
