Another Shocking News: Just In New York Jets Confirm The Departure Of Another Top Sensational Star

Signs with the Miami Dolphins as a potential wide receiver target for the New York Jets
The New York Jets’ division rivals have signed a wide receiver who they may have been interested in signing.

There are high expectations for the New York Jets going into the 2018 season from both inside and beyond the team.

This year is seen as “Super Bowl or Bust” for the Jets with Aaron Rodgers back from his Achilles injury. Their defense is still unmatched, but they haven’t had a strong enough offense to match it.

For general manager Joe Douglas and head coach Robert Saleh, who have both underperformed in comparison to expectations since starting their respective positions, this could possibly be a “Make or Break” year. Owner Woody Johnson will eventually decide whether or not that is fair because he is not afraid to make changes to his football operations personnel.

Making ensuring this team is as prepared as possible to win and advance to the postseason was the main focus of this offseason.

Aiming to raise the profile of the offense overall, New York signed wide receiver Mike Williams to a $15 million, one-year contract.

With a career yards per reception average of 15.6 and two seasons of over 1,000 yards, the former playmaker for the Los Angeles Chargers is a deep threat. However, there are concerns over whether the veteran can produce at that level with his new squad after rupturing his ACL.

For this reason, a lot of people wanted Douglas to give Rodgers additional weapons to complement their standout receiver Garrett Wilson.

Odell Beckham Jr., who played with the Baltimore Ravens the previous season, was one option that was available on the free agency market.

After overcoming his own injury concerns, the former standout wide receiver for the New York Giants recovered to total 35 catches for 565 yards in 14 games in 2023.

Even after the Jets selected Malachi Corley with their third round selection, he was seen to be a potential backup option in the wide receiver position.

Unfortunately, Beckham has signed a one-year, $3 million contract with the Miami Dolphins, their division foe, which could be worth up to $8.25 million with incentives. According to Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN, this option is no longer available.
