Top 3 Unrestricted Players Miami Dolphins Signing Still Occurs
In the offseason of 2024, the Miami Dolphins took care of a number of needs. By adding tight end Jonnu Smith and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., they gave Tua Tagovailoa a couple more weapons. In order to choose running back Jaylen Wright, they also moved up in the draft. With the draft selections of Chop Robinson and Mohamed Kamara, they added some depth to their defensive end rotation. Even though Campbell is 37 years old and almost done with his NFL career, he would still have a big impact on this Dolphins club. Last season, he started every one of the Atlanta Falcons’ 17 games and recorded seven sacks. With six Pro Bowl appearances and 105.5 career sacks, he is a highly skilled veteran.
In the midst of the Dolphins’ defensive line, adjacent to budding star Zach Sieler, he would develop into a leader. Campbell would make a reliable rotational player even if he doesn’t start every game. In 2021 and 2022, Anthony Weaver, the defensive coordinator for the New Dolphins, also served as the defensive line coach for Campbell while he was employed by the Baltimore Ravens. Campbell ought to be available on a one-year deal for a fair price. For an experienced player joining a contender, this would be a low-risk, high-reward agreement.

For the Miami Dolphins, Williams is still a stronger choice. Only a few months have passed since he suffered a severe ACL injury, therefore he might not be ready for the start of the season. That being said, this is the only reason he is still unsigned.
Williams was performing at a Pro Bowl standard prior to his season-ending injury. He is already familiar with the offense, and his versatility as a guard or center helps the Dolphins line, which suffered numerous injuries in the previous campaign. The Dolphins should consider Risner as the best available option. He was unsigned prior to signing a one-year contract with the Vikings in September of last year. Last season, Risner only committed three penalties and didn’t allow a single sack. Throughout his five-year career, he has missed just four games due to injury.
Right away, he would be the front-runner to start at either guard spot. His arrival would provide the offensive line even more depth and give Tagovailoa the much-needed pass-blocking assistance. Risner is just requesting a starting guard contract; he wouldn’t go broke doing it. He would probably have the same effect and come in considerably cheaper than the deal the Panthers recently awarded Robert Hunt. He had also earlier played in Denver for the Dolphins offensive line coach Butch Barry. Chris Grier must finalize this arrangement as soon as possible if the Dolphins hope to retain their franchise quarterback healthy and go deep into the playoffs this season.
