Twins Promote Kyler Fedko Ahead of Texas Road Trip, Designate Orlando Arcia for Assignment
The Minnesota Twins are making a notable roster adjustment as they prepare for their upcoming series against the Texas Rangers. Following Sunday’s game, the organization announced that outfielder Kyler Fedko will be added to the club’s 40-man roster and travel with the team to Texas. The move represents a significant milestone in Fedko’s professional career and reflects the strong season he has put together at the Triple-A level.
Fedko, who was selected by Minnesota in the 12th round of the 2021 MLB Draft out of the University of Connecticut, has steadily worked his way through the organization’s farm system. Known for his athleticism and versatility, the right-handed hitter is capable of playing all three outfield positions, making him a valuable option for the Twins as they look to strengthen their roster depth.
Although Fedko has yet to make his Major League debut, his performance in the minors has continued to draw attention. Last season marked his first experience at the Triple-A level with the St. Paul Saints, where he delivered a solid campaign. Across 42 games, he posted an .829 OPS, demonstrating both offensive production and the ability to compete against more advanced pitching.
His development has taken another step forward in 2026. Through 58 games with St. Paul this season, Fedko has emerged as one of the organization’s most productive hitters. He has compiled an impressive .286 batting average while reaching base at a .372 clip and slugging .578. Those numbers translate to a strong .950 OPS, highlighting his ability to contribute in multiple areas of the game.
Power has been a major component of Fedko’s success this year. He has launched 15 home runs while also scoring 44 runs and driving in 45. His offensive production has made him a key contributor in the Saints’ lineup and likely played a significant role in Minnesota’s decision to elevate him to the Major League roster.
In addition to his power, Fedko has continued to showcase speed on the basepaths. He has already stolen nine bases this season, building on the aggressive baserunning he displayed in 2025. Last year, he totaled 38 stolen bases across two levels of the minor leagues, including 26 at Double-A Wichita and another 12 after his promotion to Triple-A St. Paul. His combination of speed, power, and defensive flexibility gives the Twins another intriguing option as they head into an important stretch of the season.
To create room for Fedko on the roster, Minnesota designated infielder Orlando Arcia for assignment. Arcia appeared in 18 games with the Twins but struggled to make a major offensive impact during his time with the club. He finished his stint with a .654 OPS and hit one home run.
The roster move signals Minnesota’s desire to inject fresh energy into its lineup while rewarding a player who has earned an opportunity through consistent performance. As the Twins begin their road trip against the Rangers, all eyes will be on Fedko to see if he can carry his Triple-A success to the Major League stage.
