Breaking: Boston Bruins Officially Announced The Signing Of Another Top Experiend Man As New Coach….

Former Sharks Forward Marco Sturm Reportedly Named New Bruins Head Coach

As the NHL Conference Finals progress, teams that have already been eliminated from the playoffs are focusing on changes to strengthen their chances next season. Among those teams is the Boston Bruins, who are reportedly making a major move behind the bench.

Following a disappointing 2024-25 season, the Bruins have decided to bring in a new head coach. According to recent reports, Boston has hired former San Jose Sharks forward Marco Sturm as their next head coach.

Sturm, 46, has been serving as the head coach of the Ontario Reign, the AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings. His coaching work in the minors and international experience has earned him recognition as an up-and-coming coach in professional hockey.

Before stepping into coaching, Sturm had a long NHL playing career. He was selected by the Sharks in the first round of the 1996 NHL Entry Draft, going 21st overall. He spent nearly eight full seasons with San Jose before being traded to Boston during the 2005-06 campaign.

After his stint with the Bruins, Sturm played for several other NHL teams, concluding his career in the 2011-12 season with the Florida Panthers. His time in the league gave him a strong understanding of the game from a player’s perspective — experience that now shapes his coaching style.

Though no official announcement has been made by the Bruins, reports indicate Sturm will be stepping in to lead the team behind the bench. Further updates are expected as more details emerge.
