kicker reports that Copenhagen midfielder Victor Froholdt is seen as the successor to Hugo Larsson at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Most signs point towards Froholdt moving to Frankfurt this summer after reaching a verbal agreement with the club. All the Bundesliga side needs to do is reach an agreement with Copenhagen over the fee.
The plan once the 19-year-old moves to Deutsche Bank Park will be for him to eventually become the replacement for Larsson. The Swedish international has continued to develop at Frankfurt and is expected to leave the club in 2026 for one of Europe’s big clubs.
This would continue to follow Frankfurt’s transfer policy, where they usually have the successor for a certain player either ready to come in or already at the club. This can be seen with the departure of Randal Kolo Muani, who was replaced by Hugo Ekitiké, who will likely be replaced by Jonathan Burkardt. Evan Ndicka was replaced by William Pacho, who was subsequently sold to PSG, and so on.
