Jonathan Greenard: ‘We are working our tails off’
“We are working our tails off” – Jonathan Greenard
That’s from the Eagles’ new edge rusher talking about Philly’s culture during OTAs/minicamp in June be55
*The full context*
Greenard was traded from the Vikings to the Eagles in April for two 3rd-round picks, then signed a 4-year, $100M extension. He’s coming off December surgery but has been around for OTAs. 4863
When asked about the Eagles’ culture he said:
> *”We work as a championship team. Attention to detail is there, we are working our tails off. Even after practice, we’re doing extra drills just to make sure we’re all on the same page.”* 4863

And again:
> *”They’re not going to settle for nothing less. It’s infectious, so you either get with the program or you get left. That’s not hard for me. I just get out there and work my tail off with the boys.”* 4863
*What he means by it*
1. *Championship standard* – Greenard said this is the best culture he’s played in after stints with Texans + Vikings. Philly is coming off a Super Bowl and the expectation is to get back.
2. *Details matter* – Extra drills after practice to stay in sync
3. *Blue collar fit* – He called Philly a “blue collar city” and said “When you work your tail off, everything’s going to be rewarded back to you” 48632157
*Why the Eagles got him*
29 years old, Pro Bowler in 2024 with 12 sacks. Had 3 sacks in 12 games in 2025 after injuries. GM Howie Roseman said “What you see is a relentless player with physical tools. He can win in multiple ways. He is hard to block” be55486353c5
He’s also already mentoring Jalyx Hunt and Nolan Smith, calling Hunt a “freak” athlete. 9160
Training camp starts next week and he’s expected to be back for team drills. be55
Sounds like he’s fitting right in with Sirianni’s “infectious” culture. Want me to keep you posted on how he looks in camp?
