Done Deal: Hull City Officially Complete the Signing of Another Top Defender

Hull City Make €5m Offer for Marcus Pedersen as Fulham Remain in the Race for Torino Defender

Hull City have reportedly stepped up their interest in Torino right-back Marcus Pedersen by submitting an offer close to €5 million, although the proposal has been rejected by the Italian club.

The 26-year-old Norwegian defender has emerged as a potential target for both Hull and Fulham, with the two English clubs competing for his signature. Pedersen’s performances in Italy and his growing importance with the Norway national team have attracted attention, while his reported desire to experience a new challenge could make a summer transfer increasingly likely.

Pedersen joined Torino from Feyenoord in 2025 and has quickly established himself as an important member of the squad. Since arriving in Turin, he has made 62 appearances across all competitions, becoming a regular starter at right-back and demonstrating his reliability at the position.

His progress at club level has also been reflected internationally. Pedersen has become increasingly prominent for Norway and made four appearances for his country during the summer. His international exposure has further increased his profile and helped attract interest from clubs outside Italy.

Fulham were previously reported to have made an initial approach for the defender. The Premier League side are understood to be interested in bringing Pedersen to England, with the player himself reportedly open to the possibility of making the move.

Hull City have now entered the competition and appear to have taken the first concrete step by submitting a formal proposal.

According to ToroZone journalist Giacomo Morandin, Pedersen is attracting interest not only from England but also from clubs in Germany. Hull’s offer is believed to be worth approximately €5 million, but Torino were quick to turn it down because their valuation is significantly higher.

The Italian club are reportedly seeking between €8 million and €10 million for the Norwegian defender. That difference means Hull would need to increase their proposal considerably if they want to convince Torino to sell.

There is also a possibility that Pedersen’s price could increase if more clubs join the race. Turkish giants Fenerbahce could potentially enter the competition, particularly if they lose Nelson Semedo during the current transfer window.

Fulham’s continued interest means Hull cannot afford to take the situation lightly. With multiple clubs monitoring the player, Torino could find themselves in a strong position to negotiate a higher fee.

Pedersen’s situation is particularly interesting because Torino reportedly paid around €4 million to sign him from Feyenoord in 2025. The relatively modest initial investment means the club could still make a healthy profit if they sell him for somewhere close to their current €8m-€10m valuation.

That could ultimately make Pedersen an attractive opportunity for interested clubs. Both Hull and Fulham could potentially secure an experienced right-back without having to pay an enormous transfer fee by Premier League standards.

For Hull City, adding a player with Pedersen’s experience could provide valuable strength and consistency on the right side of the defence. His ability to perform regularly at club level and contribute internationally makes him an appealing target.

Fulham, meanwhile, will be hoping their earlier interest gives them an advantage if negotiations develop further.

The biggest question now is whether Hull will return with an improved offer. Their initial €5 million proposal was rejected, but Torino’s asking price does not appear completely unrealistic for clubs competing in the Premier League.

With Pedersen reportedly keen on a fresh challenge and several teams showing interest, the next few weeks could be crucial. Hull City and Fulham will need to move decisively if they want to avoid losing the Norwegian defender to another interested club.
