
Jordan Smith Jr., a five-star shooting guard from Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax, Virginia, is among the most coveted prospects in the 2026 recruiting class. Ranked No. 6 nationally and No. 2 at his position by the On3 Industry Ranking , Smith has garnered significant attention from top-tier college basketball programs.
Duke University has emerged as a leading contender in Smith’s recruitment. He took an official visit to Duke in November 2024, where he reconnected with former Paul VI teammates Patrick Ngongba and Darren Harris, now playing for the Blue Devils. Smith expressed appreciation for Duke’s environment, noting, “They treated me like family there,” and highlighted his interest in the role of current Duke guard Caleb Foster as a potential fit for his own playing style .
In addition to Duke, Smith has made unofficial visits to Louisville and Syracuse. He has also received scholarship offers from Georgetown, Arkansas, Kansas, and Kentucky, among others . Coaches from these programs have been actively recruiting him, with visits and consistent communication throughout his junior season.
