Lions Add Three Tryout Players After Rookie Minicamp, Including Former MSU DL
ALLEN PARK – The Detroit Lions have signed three players following this past weekend’s rookie minicamp, while also waiving one from the roster.
The team added defensive lineman Raequan Williams, wide receiver Malik Taylor, and tight end Luke Deal. Williams, a former Michigan State standout, returns to Michigan after stints in the NFL. Taylor, who played at Ferris State, is also familiar with the league, having been with multiple teams since entering as an undrafted free agent in 2019.
Luke Deal, an undrafted rookie out of Auburn, played six seasons with the Tigers and served as a two-time team captain. Raequan Williams previously saw game action with the Philadelphia Eagles and also spent time with the Jaguars and Panthers.
Malik Taylor, a Flint native, played three seasons with the Packers and two with the Jets, after originally signing with the Buccaneers.
