Fulham Targeting Heerenveen’s Oliver Braude as Kenny Tete’s Replacement
Fulham are exploring options to reinforce their squad this summer, with Norwegian right-back Oliver Braude emerging as a key target. According to sources from GIVEMESPORT, manager Marco Silva is preparing for the likely departure of Kenny Tete, who is expected to join Everton once his current contract expires at the end of the month.
Tete, currently earning £50,000 per week, has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Everton for a three-year contract. His anticipated exit has prompted Fulham’s recruitment team to search for a replacement, and Braude has stood out as a strong candidate following an impressive 2024/25 season with Heerenveen in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Despite Fulham recently extending Harry Wilson’s contract by triggering a 12-month clause—and with the winger now seeking a long-term deal—the club remains focused on refreshing the squad in the ongoing transfer window.
Braude, just 21 years old, is attracting attention not just for his on-pitch performances but also for his affordability. Currently earning under £2,500 per week in the Netherlands, he represents a financially low-risk signing for Premier League clubs. Fulham believe they can comfortably meet his wage demands and view him as an “explosive” option on the right flank.
However, Fulham are not alone in their pursuit. Premier League rivals such as West Ham United, Everton, Bournemouth, and Aston Villa have all expressed interest in the Norwegian full-back. European clubs are also monitoring his situation, as Braude is widely expected to leave Heerenveen this summer.
As Tete edges closer to a move to Merseyside, Fulham are prioritizing the recruitment of a right-sided defender. Braude has now firmly entered their radar, and Fulham could make a decisive move in the coming weeks to secure his services ahead of potential competition.
