Although Mark Pope has only spent two seasons as Kentucky’s head coach, his tenure has already felt transformative. During this period, college basketball has undergone major changes, particularly with the rise of the transfer portal and the growing influence of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities. These shifts have reshaped how programs build and maintain their rosters, and Kentucky has been no exception.
