Guard Zyon Pullin will return to the Miami Heat, the organization announced on Monday.
The agreement is an Exhibit 10 contract, which is essentially an invitation to training camp, according to a league source.
After going undrafted out of Florida, Pullin was previously signed by the Heat to a two-way contract.
During training camp, Zyon Pullin will have another opportunity to earn a two-way berth with the Miami Heat.
However, Pullin struggled in summer league, averaging just 5.3 points, 1.7 assists, and 1.2 turnovers. As a result, Isaiah Stevens was chosen to start at point guard instead of Pullin.
Pullin was waived at the end of the previous month to create space for Josh Christopher on a two-way spot.
The 6-foot-4 guard Pullin, who finished college with an exceptional assist-to-turnover ratio and a 38% 3-point shooting percentage, continues to pique the Heat’s interest. This past season, the 23-year-old proved to be one of the most reliable guards in college basketball, earning a spot on the First Team All-SEC and recording the highest assist-to-turnover ratio in the conference in over 20 years.
Pullin signs an Exhibit 10 contract to join Stevens. They will be invited to training camp in October and given the opportunity to compete for one of Miami’s three two-way spots, provided that neither signs a contract with another team.
Dru Smith, Keshad Johnson, and Christopher presently hold the two-way berths for the Heat.
