BREAKING NEWS: Just In Coach Brian Snitker Confirm Atlanta Braves Will Be Without Austin Riley For The Entire Season After Suffering From……

If the Atlanta Braves advance that far, Austin Riley’s broken right hand will prevent him from playing in the postseason.

According to a CT scan performed on Monday, the third baseman’s injury has not fully healed.

“To think that he could return this year was not feasible due to his healing process,” Braves manager Brian Snitker stated on Tuesday.

On August 18, Los Angeles Angels pitcher Jack Kochanowicz threw a fastball that hit Riley with a velocity of 97 mph. Although it was anticipated that he would miss the remainder of the regular season, there remained a chance he may make a comeback if the Braves advanced far in the postseason.

It was realistically going to be difficult for him because he is still in a cast, Snitker added. “We would need to advance rather far in the postseason. The doctors did not intend for it to be there.

Watching his home run in the fifth inning is Austin Riley.
The Braves trailed Arizona by 1.5 games for the third NL wild card berth as the season’s final week drew near.

Riley followed up a season in which he hit 37 home runs and drove in 97 runs with 19 home runs, 56 RBIs, and a.256 batting average in 110 games. In the three seasons prior, the two-time All-Star had averaged 159 games played.

Riley should be fully recovered before spring training, according to Snitker.

The Braves signed third baseman Gio Urshela, who was released by the Tigers the day Riley was hurt. In 30 games with Atlanta, Urshela has a hitting average of.270 and three home runs.
