NFL Report: Just In, Titans Assistant General Manager Joins Los Angeles Rams

Rams’ Front Office Culture Continues to Shine as James Gladstone Lands GM Role in Jacksonville

The Los Angeles Rams have earned a reputation as one of the NFL’s model franchises when it comes to organizational structure and leadership development, and that legacy continues to grow. Under the guidance of head coach Sean McVay, the Rams have not only been consistent contenders on the field, but they’ve also become a launching pad for front office and coaching talent across the league.

One of the latest examples is former Rams director of scouting strategy, James Gladstone, who was hired as the new general manager of the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this offseason. Gladstone, who spent several years working closely with Rams general manager Les Snead, was instrumental in shaping LA’s innovative draft and roster-building philosophy. His analytical approach, keen eye for talent, and strategic mindset made him a natural candidate for a front office leadership role.

Gladstone didn’t waste any time making his mark in Jacksonville. His first major move? Pulling off one of the boldest trades of the 2025 NFL Draft by trading up to select two-way phenom Travis Hunter, the former Colorado star who wowed scouts as both a cornerback and wide receiver. The move signals a shift in Jacksonville’s identity aggressive, dynamic, and future-focused  traits that clearly reflect the Rams’ influence.

The Rams’ ability to develop internal talent in both coaching and executive roles has become a hallmark of McVay’s tenure. Former assistants like Zac Taylor (Bengals), Kevin O’Connell (Vikings), and Brandon Staley (former Chargers HC) are just a few who’ve gone on to lead their own teams. Now, with Gladstone stepping into the spotlight, the Rams’ imprint on the broader NFL ecosystem continues to deepen.

It’s yet another testament to an organization that does things the right way  building not just a winning team, but a legacy of excellence that extends far beyond the field.
