Vikings Sign GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah to Multi-Year Contract Extension
The Minnesota Vikings have solidified their front office leadership for the foreseeable future, announcing on Friday that General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has agreed to a multiyear contract extension. This move ensures continuity at the top of the organization as the team continues building toward long-term success.
Adofo-Mensah originally joined the Vikings in January 2022, signing a four-year contract. With that deal set to expire after the upcoming season, the team opted to secure his services well into the future. The Vikings ownership group, led by Owner/President Mark Wilf and Owner/Chairman Zygi Wilf, praised Adofo-Mensah’s leadership style, strategic vision, and collaborative nature as central to the team’s current and future trajectory.
“Kwesi’s leadership, vision and collaboration with our coaching staff has positioned the Minnesota Vikings for sustained success,” said Mark Wilf. “His dedication and forward-thinking approach have been instrumental in shaping our roster and future. We are confident that under the guidance of him and [head coach] Kevin O’Connell, we will continue to compete at the highest level as we pursue a championship for Vikings fans.”
Zygi Wilf echoed that sentiment, expressing strong belief in the duo of Adofo-Mensah and O’Connell. “We are extremely excited to continue this journey with Kwesi in this role,” he said. “His commitment to building a championship-caliber team and his ability to collaborate effectively and make bold, calculated decisions has positioned the Vikings for long-term success.”
Since taking over the general manager role, Adofo-Mensah has brought an analytics-driven, modern approach to football operations. His partnership with Kevin O’Connell, who also signed a contract extension earlier this year, has been a defining feature of this new Vikings era. The front office and coaching staff have been closely aligned in strategy and team-building philosophy.

Adofo-Mensah emphasized that while the organization has already made meaningful progress, his focus remains firmly on long-term success and turning the Vikings into a perennial contender.
