Breaking: Seattle Seahawks Officially Announced The Signing Super talented Gifted Superstar To Replace Demeco Roland

Seahawks Add Rookie Defensive Tackle Anthony Campbell to Roster

The Seattle Seahawks bolstered their defensive line by signing rookie defensive tackle Anthony Campbell on Thursday. Campbell, an undrafted free agent from the University of Miami, joins the team as they continue shaping their 90-man offseason roster.

To make room for Campbell, the Seahawks waived fellow defensive tackle DeMeco Roland. Roland had originally signed with Seattle earlier this offseason as an undrafted free agent but will now look for opportunities elsewhere.

Campbell brings a towering presence to the defensive front, standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 307 pounds. He began his collegiate career at Louisiana-Monroe (ULM), where he played two seasons before transferring to Miami for the 2022 and 2023 campaigns. His most impactful season came during his time at ULM in 2022. That year, he recorded four tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, and a pass deflection, showing flashes of disruptive ability on the interior line.

Although he went undrafted, Campbell has been active in trying to earn a spot in the NFL. Before landing with the Seahawks, he participated in rookie minicamps with both the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles as a tryout player. While those opportunities didn’t result in contracts, Campbell’s persistence and physical tools eventually earned him another shot in Seattle.

The addition of Campbell provides the Seahawks with another option as they evaluate talent during the offseason program and look ahead to training camp. His size and versatility could make him a developmental asset for the defensive coaching staff, especially as the team explores depth pieces behind their primary interior defenders.

Seattle has placed an emphasis on adding youth and potential to its defensive front this offseason, and Campbell fits that mold. While his road to making the final roster remains challenging, Campbell will now have a chance to showcase his skills and compete for a role in the Seahawks’ defensive rotation. His previous experience at two collegiate programs and his exposure to multiple NFL minicamps could aid his transition as he enters the next phase of his professional career.

With this signing, Seattle continues to fine-tune its roster heading into the summer, seeking contributors who can make an impact both in training camp and during the regular season.
