Breaking: Virginia Tech Wrestling Lands Another Top Talented Well Gifted Wrestler To…

Virginia Tech Wrestling Adds Michigan Transfer Jaden Bullock

Virginia Tech has bolstered its wrestling roster with the addition of former Michigan wrestler Jaden Bullock, a graduate transfer from Chesapeake, Virginia. The 184-pound grappler brings valuable experience and depth to the Hokies as they prepare to defend their ACC title.

Bullock, who wrestled five seasons at the University of Michigan, is the third transfer brought in by head coach Tony Robie this offseason. He joins Ethen Miller, a standout from Maryland, and Sergio Desiante, a Southern Conference champion from Chattanooga, as key new additions to the team.

Interestingly, Bullock had initially committed to Virginia Tech out of high school back in 2020. He was a two-time state champion at Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake but ultimately decided to join Michigan instead. Now, he returns to his home state to finish his collegiate wrestling career.

During his time with the Wolverines, Bullock compiled a career record of 59 wins and 40 losses. He earned back-to-back NCAA Championship qualifications in 2023 and 2024. In 2023, he placed fourth at the Big Ten Championships to earn his first NCAA berth. In 2024, he secured a second appearance at nationals after finishing ninth in the conference tournament.

Bullock’s most successful seasons came in 2021–22 and 2023–24, where he demonstrated a strong ability to score bonus-point victories. In those two campaigns, he recorded 11 and 10 bonus-point wins, respectively. In fact, over half of his career wins came by way of bonus points. Despite a less consistent 2025 season where he went 13-13, Bullock brings valuable experience and potential to contribute at a high level.

His arrival comes at a crucial time for Virginia Tech, which needed reinforcement in the 184-pound weight class following the departure of TJ Stewart. Bullock is expected to provide both skill and veteran leadership in the upper weights—a part of the Hokies’ lineup that underperformed in the postseason. All four of Virginia Tech’s ACC individual champions in the most recent campaign came from the lighter weight classes, highlighting the need for improvement among the heavier divisions.

With the addition of Bullock, Virginia Tech’s roster appears to be set for offseason training. The coaching staff is aiming to maintain momentum and defend their 2025 ACC Championship title. Bullock’s presence in the lineup could prove pivotal as the team prepares for another competitive season.
