BREAKING: Wisconsin Lands Commitment from 2026 Tight End Jack Sievers
The Wisconsin Badgers have officially added a key piece to their 2026 recruiting class. On Monday evening, Jack Sievers, a promising three-star tight end from the state of Washington, announced his verbal commitment to the program. This marks Wisconsin’s first commitment at the tight end position for the 2026 cycle and a significant step forward in shaping their offensive future.
Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing in at 225 pounds, Sievers is a standout athlete at Archbishop Murphy High School in Everett, Washington. Known for his agility and strong hands, he brings a dynamic presence to the tight end position. His combination of size, athleticism, and playmaking ability has caught the attention of several programs across the country, but Wisconsin ultimately won out in what was an important recruiting battle.
The Badgers were viewed as the frontrunner entering the weekend, and they successfully sealed the deal. Sievers’ decision to commit before his previously scheduled official visits was a major victory for Wisconsin tight ends coach Nate Letton, who has been aggressively recruiting the position in recent classes.
Sievers initially received an offer from Wisconsin in September 2024. That offer was his fourth at the time, joining previous offers from Washington State, California, and Nevada. Since then, his stock continued to rise, drawing interest from programs like Boise State, Minnesota, and San Diego State, all of which had planned to host Sievers on official visits in the coming weeks. However, those visits are now off the table following his early commitment to the Badgers.
Wisconsin’s pursuit of Sievers intensified after a previous top target, Gavin Mueller, opted to commit to Colorado last month. Mueller had visited Madison back in April, but his decision prompted the Badgers to shift their focus to Sievers and fellow three-star tight end Jack Janda. Both prospects were scheduled to take official visits to Wisconsin this upcoming weekend, signaling the Badgers’ interest in potentially landing both.
With Sievers now in the fold, attention turns to Janda. If Wisconsin can secure a commitment from him as well, it would mark the third consecutive recruiting class in which the Badgers have signed multiple tight ends. That pattern shows the coaching staff’s commitment to building a deep and talented tight end room for the future.
Sievers’ commitment is not only a testament to Wisconsin’s ability to recruit nationally—pulling a top prospect out of the Pacific Northwest—but also a reflection of how the program continues to build offensive depth and versatility under head coach Luke Fickell and his staff.
As the 2026 class begins to take shape, Wisconsin fans can take confidence in the fact that their first tight end is not only a capable athlete but someone who saw value in committing early and joining the Badger family. Now, the staff will look to build on this momentum in the weeks ahead.
