SEC Report: Jaxson Dart NY Giants Links Up With Ole Miss Legend

Former Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart is reportedly set to join the New York Giants, according to recent buzz circulating around SEC circles. The news comes shortly after Dart was spotted training with New York Giants legend Eli Manning, fueling speculation that a deal was in the works.

Dart, who went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, had drawn interest from several NFL teams due to his strong final season in Oxford, where he threw for over 3,500 yards and 30 touchdowns while leading the Rebels to a 10-win campaign. His combination of arm strength, mobility, and SEC pedigree made him one of the most intriguing undrafted quarterbacks on the market.

What turned heads this week, however, was Dart’s appearance at a private quarterback workout hosted by Eli Manning in New Jersey. The two were seen working on footwork and deep-ball mechanics and sources now say that connection may have paved the way for Dart to land a free-agent deal with the Giants.

“Jaxson Dart was already on New York’s radar,” an SEC insider told *The Athletic*. “But once he connected with Eli, it helped seal the deal.”

With veteran Daniel Jones facing questions about his long-term future and the Giants continuing to explore quarterback depth behind him, Dart’s arrival offers both upside and flexibility. The 6’2″, 215-pound QB is expected to compete for a spot on the 53-man roster or at least earn a place on the practice squad with potential to be developed as a long-term backup or more.

For Dart, the move represents a second chance in the pros — and with guidance from one of the franchise’s all-time greats. For the Giants, it’s a low-risk, high-reward investment in a player who showed flashes of brilliance against elite SEC defenses.

Expect eyes to be on him when training camp opens in East Rutherford this summer.
