Maddy Siegrist Set to Make Her Return Friday Against the Indiana Fever
Arlington, TX (July 31, 2025) – The Dallas Wings have announced that third-year forward Maddy Siegrist will be available to play this Friday when they face the Indiana Fever. Siegrist has been sidelined for the past 17 games as she recovered from an anterolateral tibial plateau fracture in her right knee.
Prior to her injury, Siegrist was having a solid season, averaging 9.4 points and 5.2 rebounds over 11 games. One of her standout performances came on June 8 against the Minnesota Lynx, where she recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Known for her scoring ability and hustle on the boards, Siegrist has been a key piece for the Wings since being selected as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft.
Over the course of her career, Siegrist has played in 77 WNBA games, averaging 6.5 points and 2.7 rebounds per game while shooting an impressive 48.9% from the field. Her return is expected to bring a much-needed boost to the Wings’ rotation as they continue to navigate a season plagued with injuries and roster limitations.
With Siegrist back in the lineup, the Wings will now have 11 available players, marking only the third time since May that Dallas has had that many players suited up. The team has been dealing with a limited roster for much of the season and has been forced to rely on hardship contracts to stay afloat. One such contract, a second seven-day hardship deal with guard Grace Berger, expired on July 30, and with Siegrist’s return, Dallas is no longer eligible to bring in another player under hardship rules.
Siegrist’s return is timely as the Wings aim to regain momentum heading into the final stretch of the regular season. Her presence on both ends of the floor, particularly her scoring and rebounding, should help stabilize the team’s frontcourt and provide valuable depth. Fans and teammates alike will be eager to see how quickly she can re-establish her rhythm after a lengthy recovery period.
