The Auburn Tigers men’s basketball program continues to reshape its roster through the transfer portal, recently adding another key piece to its backcourt. After focusing heavily on strengthening the frontcourt with four earlier additions, Auburn turned its attention to guard play and secured a commitment from former Vanderbilt Commodores men’s basketball guard George Kimble III.
Kimble announced his decision via social media, confirming he will join the Tigers as their fifth transfer addition of the cycle. In addition to putting points on the board, he also contributed as a playmaker, averaging 3.2 assists per game. His shooting numbers reflected a solid offensive skill set, as he connected on 38 percent of his field goal attempts and shot 34.8 percent from beyond the arc.
